About NAMI Tuolumne County
The County's Voice on Mental Illness

We are a self-help support group for the families and friends of people who have mental illnesses.
Tuolumne County NAMI is affiliated with NAMI California  and NAMI  (The state's and nation's voices on mental illness ).

NAMI TC, a self-help group of families, clients and professionals, provides a way for families and friends of people with mental illnesses to help and support each other emotionally, in times of crisis as well as in daily coping.
Because we share overwhelming problems, we also share a common understanding, a common strength and a common wisdom.

Our meetings and discussions are informal and informative. Members can talk openly about their own problems of anxiety, frustration, guilt, anger, isolation and heavy financial burden.

NAMI TC also provides the latest scientific information available to families touched by brain diseases like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depressive and childhood disorders. We're dedicated to the well-being of mental health clients, the emotional support of their families, and education of the community about mental illness.

The David Lambert Community Drop in Center provides a location where consumers can socialize, watch videos, play games, study, work on computer skills, etc. and hang out in a safe place. And where the Tuolumne County NAMI web site was created, edited, published, etc.
